Awesome Discussion on the First Value of Extreme: Christ-likeness.

Hihi everyone!!! This is from the AWESOME discussion that we just had today! :) Thanks to our first group Wilfred, Janice, Abigail, Eloise and Simon! :) Other than the *embarassing* things we talked about, we talked about *serious* stuff too. You know I was truly proud hearing from them, really out of the mouth of babes (young ones) has He ordained Praise. :)

What is Christ-likeness? Impt questions and opinions were mentioned. In the end, we all agreed that Christlikeness is a sacrifice, BUT sacrifice does NOT mean killing ourselves. Rather sacrifice IS knowing Jesus went to the Cross as a sacrifice for us and that is what we carry in our HEARTS and in our MINDS.

Sometimes we are afraid to rise up and respond to any challenge or situation in class or at CCA is that we feel ashamed or we feel that we are inadequate (not good enough). But the Truth of Jesus is that when He went to the Cross, He already carried that 'shame' and that 'inadequacy' for you. Why would a Person that is so loved and so well-liked go to the Cross naked? Nakedness in front of EVERYONE is shameful. That's why when He hung on the Cross naked, He bore our shame so that we never need to be ashamed again. We can be embarassed for a few seconds, but if we do not keep acknowledging that shame in our mind, we will NOT be ashamed at all. Just get on and get through it. :)

As to our inadequacy, Bible says that Jesus is our Wisdom. You know, ppl mistake a Christian life as a DESTINATION, that before we embark on a difficult task such as a major project, a captaincy or a chairpersonhood, God needs to make us 'smart' first, or 'good enough' first or 'competent enough' first. But that's a lie. We are made better and better as we get along! :) We are transformed from Glory to Glory by His Spirit, not transformed GLORIOUS full-stop. We grow in Him as we move along. It's not the destination for in our Father we abide. It's not the destination, it's the Glory of the ride. :)

The sacrifices that we have to make are 2 things: (1) our PRIDE, and (2) our LAZINESS. Before David slew Goliath, he had to first slay the lion and the bear. What is pride? it is simply looking to yourself. Pride is not just you thinking you are so good and so smart and able, but if you think you are lousy, that you cannot do it because you are not smart enough or able enough, that is pride too! What is laziness? It's when you are NOT willing to allow God to use your life powerfully because there are always some 'things' that you need to do that actually wastes time and doesn't get you anywhere. Jesus can only use people for great things if they are willing. If you are not willing to be trained by the leaders He appointed over your lives, then you don't do great things lor.

So will serving in church (which many of us think is a sacrifice) affect our studies and family life? No way! God is a good Paymaster and He is a debtor to no man! If you give Him your time in Ministry, will He NOT give you back MULTIPLIED? Jesus doesn't see our lives separated into 3 areas such as family, school and ministry: He sees it as ONE. Whatever we learn at school is USEFUL for His Ministry: whatever we learn in Ministry is POWERFUL for School. There is no place which is not relevant to Him because your life is of UTMOST importance to Him. No time is wasted in His Kingdom. :) As you are blessed in ministry, you will be blessed in school; as you are blessed in school, you'll be a blessing to the Ministry. :) Amen.

Thank you Wilfred, Janice, Abigail, Eloise and Simon again!! Think you all are AWESOME to be able to think this far. All if you, have a blessed week ahead! :)
